Cookie Policy
- We mostly use your browser’s own storage, which the app needs to work.
- We do not use advertising, tracking or analytics cookies.
- Fonts from Google and YouTube videos are optional and load only if you allow them.
What this policy covers
Cookies are small files saved by a website. Similar technologies, such as your browser’s local storage, IndexedDB and cache, work in the same way. This policy explains what CREATEWOKS stores on your device and the choices you have.
What we store
CREATEWOKS works mainly through your browser’s storage rather than traditional cookies. Everything below is stored on your device:
| Name | What it is for | Type | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
cw-session | Keeps you signed in | Essential | Until you sign out |
cw-consent | Remembers your cookie choice | Essential | Until you clear it |
cw-ref | Remembers which partner link you opened, so the right partner is credited if you sign up. Set only if you open a partner link | Functional | 60 days, or until you sign up |
cw-partner-… | Remembers that you are a partner, so the menu shows quickly. Set only if you join the partner programme | Functional | Until you clear it |
cw-theme | Remembers your colours and light or dark mode | Preference | Until you clear it |
cw-plan-… | Your calendar plans and reminders | Essential (your content) | Until you delete them or clear data |
cw database (IndexedDB) | Your videos: scripts, pictures, voice recordings, edits and covers | Essential (your content) | Until you delete them or clear data |
cw-projects | A backup copy of your videos, used only if your browser cannot use its database | Essential (your content) | Until you delete them or clear data |
cw-cx | An optional image search setting, only if you add one | Preference | Until you clear it |
cw-v… cache | Saves the app files so it opens quickly and works as an installed app | Essential | Updated with each release |
| Temporary notes | Short-lived reminders between screens, such as which platform you picked | Essential | Until you close the tab |
cw-clk-… | Stops one visit to a partner link being counted twice | Functional | Until you close the tab |
| Google Fonts | Loads our typefaces from Google | Optional | Only if you allow it |
| YouTube (youtube-nocookie.com) | Plays the demo video on the home page | Optional | Only if you allow it and press play |
Our hosting and security providers may also set strictly necessary cookies to protect the site from attacks. We do not use cookies for advertising, tracking you across other sites, or analytics.
Essential storage
Essential storage is needed for the Service to work (staying signed in, saving your videos, remembering your choice). It does not need your consent, and it is always on. If you block it in your browser, parts of CREATEWOKS will not work.
Optional content: your choice
When you first visit, we ask whether to allow optional third-party content:
- Allow optional loads our typefaces from Google Fonts and lets the demo video play on the home page. These companies receive your IP address and browser details when they deliver that content.
- Essential only means neither is loaded. The site uses your device’s standard fonts, and the demo video opens on YouTube only if you choose to follow the link.
We keep your choice in your browser. It does not affect any feature of the app itself.
Change your choice
You can change your mind at any time:
You can also delete CREATEWOKS storage in your browser settings. Be careful: this also removes videos saved on your device.
Browser controls
Most browsers let you see, block and delete cookies and site data. Look for “Cookies and site data” in your browser’s privacy settings. Blocking essential storage will stop sign-in and saving from working.
Changes and contact
We will update this page if we start using other storage or services. Questions? Write to [email protected]. See also our Privacy Policy.
